Course fee: free of charge (two nights accommodation sharing basis, refreshment, lunch, dinner and break-first will be provided)

Note: Participants are requested to bring a laptop (4GB RAM, 25GB free disk space) with VirtualBox hypervisor installed

Meeting Goals

Annual NOC meeting 2018 is to review the progress you have made on deployment of Eduroam, IPv6, proper Identity stores in your campus. This meeting will include progress review, a hands-on workshop on advanced use of pfSense® as an institutional firewall and visualization of inbound/outbound traffic and explanation of the procedure to register your identity provider with the LEARN Identity Federation.

The whole program targets the most senior network/systems engineers from LEARN member institutions

Contents

  • Day 01: NOC Meeting
    • Progress review of deployment of Eduroam, IPv6 and proper identity stores - 10 minutes presentation from each Institutions
  • Day 02 - Day 03
    • Advance use of pfSense® for fire-walling, visualization of inbound/outbound traffic and setting up a captive portal
    • Procedure to register institutional identity provider with the LEARN identity federation
