Grading

Grading activities in Moodle involve evaluating and providing feedback on student submissions, such as assignments, quizzes, and other coursework. For assignments, teachers can assign grades based on predefined criteria, offer feedback, and maintain a record of students' progress. Grading can be numerical, based on a scale, or involve rubrics to ensure consistent and fair assessment.

Steps to Add Grading for Student Assignment:
  1. Log in to Moodle:
    • Access Moodle using your teacher credentials.
  1. Navigate to the Course:
    • From the Moodle dashboard, navigate to "BSc - IT."
    • Go to "Semester 01."
    • Click on the "Networking" course.
  1. Grade the Assignment:
    • Navigate to the Assignment: Click on "Introduction to Networking Assignment."
    • View Submissions: Click "View all submissions."
    • Grade Submissions:
      • Click "Grade" for each student.
      • Grade: Enter a grade (e.g., 85).
      • Feedback Comments: Provide feedback, e.g., "Great job on your report! You covered all key concepts well and demonstrated a good understanding of practical applications. Next time, try to elaborate more on the challenges faced."
      • Feedback Files: Upload any additional feedback files if needed.
      • Click "Save changes" or "Save and show next."

By following these steps, you will effectively create and grade an assignment in Moodle for the "Networking" course, providing students with the necessary feedback and maintaining a record of their academic progress.
